PRAYER POINTS

• Isa_26:18 “We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.” For 62 years, Nigeria has been a nation of great potential, great possibilities…but no great results. All prophecies, proclamations, prayers etc have not changed that. Let us pray earnestly that this “NEW DAWN” will be different. Pray that out of the long and due pregnancy, the Church and Nigeria shall not bring forth wind
• Isa_66:8 “Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children” Let us pray that like Joshua and Israel at Jericho; and like David against Goliath, in the NEW DAWN, the entry into Nigeria’s Promise Land shall not be tortuous and protracted. It shall be Spirit-led, precise, swift and conclusive.
• Isa_66:8 “…for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children” Pray that the Lord will give you and the Church such strength as needed for a final push to bring forth, direction and precision, and that the results shall be multiple [“Her children”] and glorious
• Psa 126:1 “When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them” Let us pray and proclaim that the New Nigeria emerging shall be one that will wipe away the pains of 62 years and not only cause nations to testify in amazement but also compel them to come to Nigeria to learn righteousness
• In fervent prayer as the Spirit leads you, respond to the following excerpts from Prophet Tomi Arayomi’s prophetic dream. Pray as indicated below plus any other prayers stirred in your heart:
  • “A principality, this old strong man Macaulay was guarding over Nigeria with so much force that everybody dreaded to escape... But I have got good news. Macaulay is now an old man, and if you tip him over, he will break into pieces. The systems, people and leaders, physically and spiritually are getting old and ready to topple and release a potential new dawn for Nigeria.... For I can send the wind, but you must gather the quail. I can send the mist, but you must discern the manner. Multitudes, multitudes are now standing in the valley of decision, and I am asking Nigeria: Do you want an Independence Day or do you want a Dependence Day” Pray and affirm that we surely want an INDEPENDENCE Day. Pray for God’s grace to know, to will and to do to His good pleasure; that we shall know the things that make for our peace and unfailingly do them like Joshua and the children of Israel did at Jericho. Pray that Nigeria shall not miss God like Israel missed it in the day of the first coming of Jesus Christ.

• Exo_15:8  “And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.” Thank God for answers to prayers, for the floods receding all over Nigeria. Pray for wisdom to manage the rehabilitation process and proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.

Isa 63:1  “Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in His apparel, travelling in the greatness of His strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save” Pray that the Lord who is “mighty to save” will visit the camps of Edom in Nigeria and even outside Nigeria in “the greatness of His strength”, visit His vengeance upon all stirring up evil and opposing progress 

Isa 63:3-5  “I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with Me: for I will tread them in Mine anger, and trample them in My fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon My garments, and I will stain all My raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.” Pray that the Lord in His sovereign will and way, with no one else, will tread and trample the spiritual and physical camps of wickedness and unrighteousness in Nigeria. Let this 63rd year be the year of God’s redeemed and the day of His vengeance

Isa 63:6  “And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.” Plead the blood of Jesus Christ over all camps, agents and altar of the enemies of the gospel, of the Lord and of Nigeria’s peace and progress. Pray that as the Lord brought down Pharaoh and his powers in the Red Sea, the Lord will bring down the Pharaohs, Herods, Hamans, and Nebuchadnezzars of our nation and generation

Isa 63:8-10  “For he said, Surely they are My people, children that will not lie: so He was their Saviour. In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them: in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bare them, and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.” Thank the Lord that He is a true Father, when we are afflicted, He too is afflicted. Pray that God will help us NEVER to rebel against Him again or stray from the way of righteousness. Then pray that the “Angel of His presence” will save the Church in Nigeria and uplift the nation in a decisive manner – spiritually and materially

Isa 63:11b-14b  “Where is He that put His Holy Spirit within him? That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?...so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.” Pray that God is His great mercy will work a work of deliverance, national emancipation and uplift the Church and the nation in a manner that will make an everlasting and glorious name for Himself.

Isa 63:16  Doubtless thou art our father... thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. 

Isa 63:17b  Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance. 

Isa 63:18  The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.

PRAYERS

Psm 124:2,6 “If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us....Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth” Let us thank God for the miraculous preservation of Nigeria and of the Church which the enemy has desperately sought to overrun; with supernatural conversions and growth being registered even in the North. Thank the Lord for how Nigerians have miraculously continued to survive with some prices doubling or more within one year while salaries have remained largely same.

Jer 1:10  “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down….”  By decrees and proclamations, root out, pull down, destroy, and to throw down the era when “Nigeria and Nigerians will be known all over the world for corruption” and “your name – Nigeria – will stink of corruption”. Come against policies, practices, personalities, principalities, powers, parties, agendas, arrangements, alliances and everything that promoted and sustained corruption and evil in Nigeria. Decree that they close out with this outgoing year.

Jer 1:10 “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, …to build, and to plant” By decrees and proclamations, declare open the era of “after a while, a new era will come – a phase of righteousness. People from the nations of the earth will hold a Nigerian and say ‘We want to follow you to your nation to learn righteousness’ “ Build and plant the systems, structures, strategies, solutions, laws, servant leadership and everything spiritual and material that will entrench this new era. Call them forth to begin with this new Nigeria year, flood out the old. Let this word become flesh and we behold the glory; let this word grow mightily and prevail henceforth.

Gen_2:19 “… whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.” Name Nigeria’s new year, its 63rd year that begins on October-1. Give the year shape, form, size, character; impregnate it spiritually to birth ONLY & STRICTLY “whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report” to allow STRICLY those things that “there be any virtue,…there be any praise” - Php_4:8                                      

Ecc_9:11  “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all” and “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” Pray for God to have mercy on us” - Rom_9:16. FOCUS:  Pausing and Taking a Moment to Appreciate God

PRAYERS

• Psa_89:1“I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” Please repent of every way we have not shown enough gratitude and appreciation to God for all His marvelous deeds and kindness shown to us personally, to the Church, and to Nigeria as a nation. Ask for grace for greater gratitude henceforth…. Then praise Him lavishly for all you can remember: with your mouth, make known His faithfulness.
• China evolved from over 200 years of bloody wars; Israel from over 35 years of brutal battles (from age 80 of Joshua to age 115, besides the wars fought before crossing the Jordan). Many other nations worldwide emerged through wars of conquests. Nigeria was created with little or no wars, just a few skirmishes between British imperialists and resisting locals. Rather than appreciate the potent country we have without protracted bloodshed, many have serially condemned it as a “forced marriage”, “the mistake of 2014” etc. Let us repent…Then thank God for the potent gift called Nigeria
• God has dealt with Nigeria in many ways like Israel. For instance, by the unseen hand of God, Nigeria gained Independence on October 1, 1960. That was the precise Day of Atonement in Israel in 1960 – the day ordained in the Bible for proclaiming Jubilee and liberty to captives. There are diverse other examples of His grace and guiding hand. Let us thank Him.
• Luke 12:48 “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required” God has not only given Nigeria diverse and vast natural resources but has invested heavily in the gospel in Nigeria, making Nigeria a predominantly Christian nation though we allow others to propagate lies. God’s investments include Pa S G Elton who was sent from Britain and spent 50 years of his life laying a foundation in Nigeria, building up men. It also includes the Sudan Interior Mission that spread the gospel across the North East and other Northern areas that we have now allowed to be massively eroded by Jihadists. Thank God for His heavy investment and for making Nigeria heavily Christian.
• Psa_49:20 “Man that is in honour, and understands not, is like the beasts that perish.” God used Nigeria to end apartheid, stall the global spread of gay rights / homosexuality endorsement legislations, give Africa and the black race a voice, even in our presently very low estate. Let us thank and praise Him
• God has repeatedly fought seen and unseen battles for the Church. When Christians ignorantly voted M K O Abiola and another Muslim en masse, God allowed it to be frustrated. He has similarly cut other potential Jihadists short and uprooted them from office. Let us thank Him
• God did not let us walk blind into the current Islamic terror. He sent a prophet from Germany, Pstr Bosun Emmanuel to warn the Church so heavily; but we chose to wise in our own eyes. Yet God has not abandoned us to utter destruction. Only recently, like in Egypt against Pharaoh, God allowed floods to chase Boko Haram out of their very headquarters, the Sambissa Forest, with 70 reportedly drowned!! Psa_34:3“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together”
• Pray for God to have mercy on us, deliver us from corruption and usher us into our divine possibilities
